We went along to the launch of the Dext to see if this Qwerty slider has what it takes to re-inflate Motorola's reputation. Hit play to see it in action on our hands-on video.

The LG Chocolate BL40 phone has just launched, so join us for a video tour of this glamorous mobile. Let's start with the most noticeable feature -- the screen. It's a 102mm (4-inch) touchscreen beast, and extra-wide to boot. Videos look superb on it, and the phone's menus and apps take full advantage of its width, with more real estate on Web pages and email split between contacts and subjects. Hit play for more.

We headed into London's West End for the official launch of the Samsung ST500 and ST550, two normal-looking compact cameras. But as you can see in our video, they have a unique feature just one tap away, and it's one for the kids -- a front-mounted touchscreen, so you can see easily take self-portraits for your social network profile page. Is it just a teenage gimmick, or something genuinely innovative? Click play to see for yourself.

We headed along to Samsung's launch event for the ST1000, a camera that bowled us over with its specs list. It may look like an unassuming if sleekly styled compact camera, but it's all going on under the bonnet. The ST1000 includes Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi. It has a giant touchscreen and a 5x zoom. Hit play to see our hands-on impressions in this video.

As if soaring 135m above the capital aboard the London Eye isn't enough, visitors will now have the chance to see the first ever 3D aerial film of our fair city. The Eye has launched a new £5m immersive attraction involving a 3D film that also features wind, rain and the smell of fireworks -- hence '4D'. It'll certainly keep you amused for part of your wait for the Eye -- watch our video for a look behind the scenes.

There are some gadgets that just sound so daft that only getting your hands on it can win you over. So we were aching to try out the Nikon Coolpix S1000pj, the first digital camera with a built-in projector. Despite this, it's no bigger than any other 12-megapixel snapper with a 5x zoom. But the proof of the pudding is in the projecting, so we dimmed the lights and fired up the 10-lumen lamp. Hit play to see how it performed.

The Pen E-P1 is Olympus' first entry into the Micro Four Thirds lens system jointly developed with Panasonic. We headed for swinging London Town to get our hands on it in this video. The kitsch, classically styled E-P1 body is omits the mirror mechanism found in dSLRs, so you get the convenience and size benefits of digital photography with all the artistic merit of being able to change your lenses.
