Electric Mini E debuts at LA Auto show

In this video, Brian Cooley introduces us to BMW's fully electric Mini E, as he reports back from the LA Auto show. Currently still in the 'concept' stage, the Mini E depends on a 5,088 lithium battery to get going, but when powered it can travel up to 150 miles at a top speed of 95mph. The car can be charged by plugging it into a regular outlet for around 8 hours, or by plugging it into a special wallbox outfitted by BMW which enables higher amperage and will have the car fully charged in a mere 2.5 hours.
