Aptera and Fisker Karma

Lesley Stahl of US news show 60 minutes takes a look at a couple of the more unusual electric cars under development in the Staes today. First up is the Fisker Karma, a hybrid car with extra eco-friendliness: a solar panel on the roof. Like the new Toyota Prius and the Lotus Eco Elise we saw recently, the panel is designed to power systems such as the air conditioning and the CD player rather than the engine itself. Finally, the Aptera's odd shape is an attempt to make the car more aerodynamic, decreasing the energy consumption and extending its range.
